Using the tutelage of noted Swedish trick-shot artist Peter Johncke and PGA TOUR professional Adam Scott and European Tour mainstay Trevor Immelman, the PGA TOUR and USA Network are joining with the PGA of America to introduce youngsters to golf. More than 300 youngsters from the Boston/Providence area participated in the five-week clinic at The Golf Learning Center of New England. On Wednesday, Sept. 1, these children will gather at the TPC of Boston to learn the game from Johncke, Scott and Immelman. Known as the �Trick Shot Master,� Johncke has traveled the world putting on his teaching and trick-shot shows. A featured instructor on The Golf Channel, Johncke combines teaching technique and humor in a 45-minute show where he performs incredible feats while teaching the fundamentals of the golf swing. In 2003, Scott captured the inaugural Deutsche Bank Championship. This season, he cemented his position as one of the world�s elite golfers by winning two more times Immelman is one of the top golfers on the European Tour, claiming victories in the South African Airways Open and the Deutsche Bank SAP Championship in Germany this season. The PGA TOUR/USA Network Youth Golf Clinics are designed to introduce youngsters to golf and provide them access to the game, facilities, equipment and instruction. Each clinic is available to youngsters 7-17 years old residing within a 30-mile radius of the clinic location. WHO: More than 300 multicultural kids from all over the Boston/Providence area.
