2003 World Aquatic Champion Alexandre Despatie has entered into a management agreement with IMG. This agreement is effective immediately.

"I am really looking forward to this partnership," commented Despatie. "With IMG involved, I can concentrate on my diving and they can help promote the sport that I have enjoyed so much and help it grow."

The platform and springboard diver has many accomplishments on the world stage given that he is only 18 years old and still completing CJEP studies in his hometown of Montreal, PQ.

Despatie astonished the world with his gold medal win on the 10m at the 1998 Commonwealth games. That makes him the youngest gold medal winner ever in the history of the Commonwealth Games.

Since then, his most memorable honours have been silver medal at the 2001 World Championships on 10m, gold medals in the 1m and 3m events of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, as well as gold at the 2003 World Aquatic Championships 10m.

We are thrilled that Alexandre has decided to join IMG, said Dan Cimoroni, Director, Athlete Representation. Alexandre is just beginning to grow on the international stage and we will continue to see his diving career hit new levels.
