Becomes first sponsor's exemption to win on the PGA TOUR since David Gossett at the 2001 John Deere Classic.

2003 NOTES:

Becomes the fifth player in his 20s to win on the PGA TOUR in 2003, joining Tiger Woods (4), Ben Crane (1), Ben Curtis (1) and Rory Sabbatini (1).

The youngest champion on the PGA TOUR at 23 years, 1 month, 16 days, since Sergio Garcia won the 2002 Mercedes Championship 21 years, 11 month, 27 days.

Becomes the second non-member of the PGA TOUR to win an official event during the 2003 season. The other winner was Darren Clarke last week at the 2003 WGC-NEC Invitational.

Collects $900,000 first-place check, the largest of his career, which brings his non-member season earnings on the PGA TOUR to $1,181,150 and his total combined earnings (World Golf Championship Events) this season to $1,686,650.

Becomes the sixth first-time winner in 2003, joining Ben Crane (BellSouth Classic), Steve Flesch (HP Classic of New Orleans), Jonathan Kaye (Buick Classic), Ben Curtis (British Open) and Shaun Micheel (PGA Championship).

Earns a trip to the 2004 Mercedes Championships in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii.

As a first-time winner on the PGA TOUR, he will receive a specially engraved Constellation Chronograph in stainless steel and 18k gold from OMEGA, the "Official Watch & Timing System of the PGA TOUR and CHAMPIONS TOUR."

EXEMPTION NOTES

He becomes a full-exempt member of the PGA TOUR and earns two-year exemption on the PGA TOUR that will take him through the 2005 season. He must join the PGA TOUR as a regular member to earn the exemption.

34 career starts on the PGA TOUR ? 21 made cuts.

Collects $900,000 bringing his non-member career earnings on the PGA TOUR to $1,623,533 and his total combined earnings (World Golf Championship) for his career to $2,221,283.
