New Englands most prominent and influential businesses have become Founders Club Sponsors for the Deutsche Bank Championship, a PGA TOUR event that will feature the top professional golfers in the world at the Tournament Players Club of Boston, Aug. 26-Sept. 1.

Buick, EMC, Fidelity Investments, Fleet Bank, GE Reveal, Golf Digest, Greater Media, PricewaterhouseCoopers, State Street, TAG Heuer and the Wall Street Journal are among the elite businesses that have demonstrated their commitment to community-building via the Tiger Woods Foundation and local charities. The Founding Club Sponsors have provided ongoing leadership in the Greater Boston marketplace, and each utilizes golf as an important part of their global marketing efforts.

Its exciting to be working hand-in-hand with our title sponsor, Deutsche Bank, and the Founders Club Sponsors to utilize golf as the medium to build a stronger community, said Jay Monahan, Championship Director. This annual championship to benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation will have a significant and positive impact on the residents, businesses and youth-focused charities of New England.

Led by Deutsche Bank and the Founders Club Sponsors, other companies in the New England business community have embraced the championship. Corporate ticket packages, the Harbor Package and the Bay Package, have sold out. Only a limited number of Palmer Pavilion passes remain. Championship Weekly Grounds Booklets and Single Day Tickets are available.

The Deutsche Bank Championship has one of the richest purses on the PGA TOUR at $5 million. The Championship is one of 48 official events on the 2003 PGA TOUR, featuring a 72-hole, full-field competition with 156 players vying for the $900,000 first-place prize money. The events charitable proceeds will benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation, which promotes childrens health, education and welfare.
