To promote this unique event, the Deutsche Bank Championship will offer a special ticket combo package for fans to attend both the concert and the Deutsche Bank Championship. The package includes a ticket to the Tweeter Center show as well an individual one-day ticket to the Deutsche Bank Championship, which will be held at the Tournament Players Club of Boston (TPC Boston) Tuesday, August 29 - Monday, September 4, 2006 Labor Day Weekend. The Deutsche Bank Championship Kickoff Concert featuring Sheryl Crow and John Mayer will mark the official start of this years tournament. In just three short years, the Deutsche Bank Championship has become a highlight of the PGA Tour schedule and the place to be in New England on Labor Day weekend.

The Deutsche Bank Championship is proud to once again bring the worlds best golfers back to the New England region, said Baldwin. Its only fitting that this year well also bring two of todays best-known recording artists in Sheryl Crow and John Mayer performing for both golf and music fans alike.

The concert is part of a 27-city summer tour that begins August 24th in Pittsburgh and concludes on October 12th in Tampa. It will mark the triumphant return for Sheryl Crow, who earlier this year underwent surgery for breast cancer. A portion of every ticket sold on this summers tour will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This years Deutsche Bank Championship will once again feature some of golfs top names, including current world number one Tiger Woods. The Tiger Woods Foundation is the primary beneficiary of the Deutsche Bank Championship. In 2005, the Championship successfully reached its fundraising goal and raised a record $1.6 million for the Tiger Woods Foundation and New England charities. Since its inaugural 2003 event, the Deutsche Bank Championship has raised a total of $4.5 million.

Championship week for the tournament begins with practice rounds Tuesday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 30, along with a pro-am competition on Thursday, Aug. 31. The four-day Championship begins Friday, Sept. 1, and continues through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, the only official Monday finish on the PGA Tour. The first two rounds of the Championship will be covered on USA Network and the final two rounds will be televised on ABC-TV.
